Great work - the right amount of detail and relatable language. Alex, your next diagram could be of the entire system (NEM) and its flows - channel my fav turtle, Michaelangelo.

Hey great article, really informative. I do have a couple of minor corrections for your NZEM comments: footnote 6: the NZEM has a contracted over frequency arming scheme (https://www.transpower.co.nz/system-operator/information-industry/electricity-market-operation/ancillary-services/over-frequency) and footnote 13: the NZ frequency keeping market is optimised against energy dispatch on a half hour basis using FK offers provided by generators.
